Julie Jablonski
Jablonski, a Professional Tennis Registry Professional and United State Professional Tennis Association Recreation Coach, has an MBA and engineering degrees, and extensive corporate experience in finance, operations, and planning.
Julie started playing tennis at Bremerton Tennis and Athletic Club in her youth, and played tennis for Central Kitsap High School. In 2007 she founded the Jefferson County Community Tennis Association in Port Townsend, and has been active volunteer coaching tennis to over 2,000 children and providing free tennis programming for elementary through high school PE classes, along with recreational summer camps and coaches training workshops. She also coordinates coaches training (QuickStart Tennis, Recreational Coach Workshops), and mentor programs for community coaches.
Julie has received both local and national recognition for her tennis program efforts:
- 2013 PTR Washington Member of the Year
- U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC)2009 Volunteer of the Year in Tennis
- 2007 USTA Pacific Northwest Community Champion Tennis Champion award
- 2007 Washington State Parks Volunteer of the Year award for her efforts in coordinating, fundraising and assisting the resurfacing of Fort Worden State Park’s tennis courts
